1) Functions of several variables. Partial derivatives. The chain rule. Taylor’s
formula for functions of several variables.
2) Vector and scalar fields. The dot product, the cross product and the tensor
product. Gradient, differential operator nabla , divergence and curl.
3) Classification of PDE: hyperbolic, parabolic and elliptic PDE. (Section 2.7,

4) Properties of the double, triple and flux integrals. 5-6 Maple exercises.
